Unity Circle of Light began as a small prayer group led by Rev. Joe Tauer in March of 1999.

In September 2010 we moved into our first-full time home at 25250 Borough Park

And we started to grow with wonderful things like a new library

Guest Speaker: Bhante Rahula - April 10th, 2011

Sunday, April 10, Bhante Rahula, a Theravada monk that serves the congregation of Vipassana Meditation Retreat in Willis, will speak at the service then give a meditation workshop following a vegetarian pot luck in the Gathering Room.

Bhante Rahula teaches English at Lone Star Montgomery College and is author of many books including Buddha’s Teachings on Prosperity: At Home, At Work, In the World.

Bhante Rahula earned his M.A. in literature from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and his Ph.D. in English from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. He was born in Sri Lanka where as a child, he entered Attanagalla Royal Temple as a novice monk in his native country.
